Message From the President
The Shinobu Group (Shinobu Foods Products Co., Ltd. and its affiliates) will contribute to society through fair competition and the pursuit of profit in accordance with ethics and the law.
Growth and development as a sustainable, healthy company requires gaining the trust of customers, partners, employees, society, shareholders, and all other stakeholders.
This requires promoting management with integrity and acting not only in accordance with the law but in an ethical manner.
Amid increasing complexity in the business environment and a growing social demand to eliminate corporate misconduct, we have established the Shinobu Foods Code of Conduct to promote business management backed by ethics and strengthen the Group's development and corporate structure.
We hereby declare here our commitment to act consciously as employees of Shinobu, not only in our corporate activities but also in our daily lives and to raise our level of awareness so as not to betray the trust of those who have supported us by sharing this policy, its values, and decision-making criteria across the Group and implementing work systems and practices based on corporate theory.
IWe will provide safe food and services.
We offer our customers safe, high-quality food and services. To this end, not only will we comply with the Food Sanitation Act, JAS Act, and other relevant legislation but also maintain internal systems to ensure the safety and quality of the food and services we provide, including implementing ISO standards.
In developing new products, we will put safety first and scientifically verify the safety of the food we develop under all conceivable conditions.
IIWe will make every effort to ensure satisfaction and reliability for our customers and shareholders as well as all corporate stakeholders.
We will listen to feedback from the customers and provide information in clear, accurate terms, including in product labeling.
We will endeavor to communicate with society at large, including shareholders and other corporate stakeholders, and disclose corporate information fairly and proactively.
We will also promptly provide accurate information and ensure the safety of all involved in the event of an accident or emergency.
IIIWe will conduct our business activities in compliance with the law and social ethics.
We will abide by domestic and international law, social ethical norms, and social rules, and refrain from acts that violate morals. We will also draw a clear line between the public and private and maintain a transparent relationship with politics and government.
We will abide by the Antitrust Law and eliminate unfair trade practices in everything from raw material procurement to product sales to conduct business based on fair, transparent, and free competition without pursuing our interests through unjust means.
IVWe will proactively and autonomously address environmental issues.
We recognize that addressing environmental issues is vital for the existence and activities of our corporation and are committed to conserving the natural environment, developing and providing products that place less burden on the environment and are easier to recycle, and proactively reducing resource use, energy consumption, and industrial waste.
VWe will actively contribute to society as a good corporate citizen.
We will respect the culture and customs of the communities in which we operate as we contribute to their development as well as contribute broadly to society through community social activities, disaster relief, volunteer work, and more.
VIWe will strive to ensure a safe and pleasant work environment.
We will ensure a safe, pleasant workplace as well as respect human rights and treat workers fairly to create latitude and prosperity for employees and build a vibrant company that respects the individuality and autonomy of our employees.
