Initiatives Toward the SDGs at Shinobu Foods
Established through the support of many natural and human resources, the food industry is a sector that can greatly contribute to environmental and social stability by promoting the SDGs. At Shinobu Foods, we will continue to innovate technologies while bolstering a foundation for the supply of safe, reliable products. Specifically, we will work to reduce packaging materials and waste as well as decrease carbon dioxide emissions to minimize our environmental toll.
Expanding Use of Environmentally Friendly Containers
We use environmentally friendly containers, including those made from recycled raw materials and with lightweight designs. We will continue to actively transition to environmentally friendly containers, such as switching to paper materials and bioplastics.
Employment and Labor Initiatives
We strive to create a comfortable work environment and support work-life balance, where employees can demonstrate their abilities regardless of nationality, gender, or age.
Introduction of Solar Power Systems
To reduce environmental toll from CO2 and other factors, we have introduced solar power generation systems, a renewable energy source.

To achieve sustainable production, our plants engage in energy-saving measures, including reduction of waste and electricity consumption.
Food Loss Reduction Initiatives
We are working to promote initiatives to reduce food waste, including reusing scraps and fats produced during manufacturing and developing products with longer shelf lives.

We are also working to reduce electricity use and garbage at our offices, which helps raise environmental awareness among employees.
